Innovative and sustainable cooling for FITLAB.

ITE College Central — passive displacement cooling for a 456 m² sports studies lab.

456 m² Sports studies lab
~100 Occupants served
91.2 kW Total cooling load
2,000 cmh Fresh air, one primary AHU
The story

Baseline to verified result.

Baseline

A high-occupancy training space with demanding thermal comfort requirements, benchmarked against a conventional AHU and VAV configuration.

Engineering diagnosis

Conventional air distribution would over-supply the whole volume to condition the occupied zone, carrying a fan energy penalty for comfort nobody was in a position to feel.

YITAC scope

Twelve PDC coils sized for a 91.2 kW cooling load, with one primary AHU delivering 2,000 cmh of fresh air.

Verified result

Comfort maintained across the occupied zone with a materially lower connected load than the conventional comparison — measured, not modelled.

Measured evidence

PDC system against conventional AHU + VAV.

Comparison across the FITLAB installation
