Twenty80 PDV
Where the answer is no ductwork at all — passive displacement removes the airside entirely.
View solutionRigid polyisocyanurate panel systems — PIRALU and Kingspan PalDuct — used in place of traditional GI for supply, return, fresh and exhaust air.
Pre-insulated duct is an alternative technology for ACMV ductwork. A rigid polyisocyanurate panel replaces traditional GI for fresh air, supply, return and exhaust air duct.
The panels are a sandwich construction: a PIR core laminated with aluminium facing on both sides. They are developed for residential, commercial and industrial ACMV duct systems, and are built to satisfy thermal, airflow, fire and installation requirements in one product.
Insulation is the duct, not a layer wrapped around it afterwards on site.
High rigidity at a fraction of the weight of GI, which takes load off the structure and the hangers.
On PIRALU. Closed cell structure and aluminium facing also prevent water absorption.
Easy to handle, cut and assemble, so runs are fabricated where they are installed.
The first Singapore Green Building Council certified pre-insulated duct product, low VOC certified. The Class 0 panel conforms to all SCDF requirements, with test reports certified under TÜV SÜD PSB.
Rigid polyisocyanurate foam coated on both sides with embossed aluminium. At more than 50 µm the aluminium sheet is thick enough to be considered a vapour barrier. The closed polymer cell structure and the aluminium coating together prevent water absorption.
In fire, the Class 0 panel protects the surface from the spread of flame and limits the heat released from that surface.
| Panel | Thickness | Aluminium | Standard packing |
|---|---|---|---|
| PIRALU 20/35 | 20 mm | Embossed | 4000 × 1200 × 20 mm, packets of 10 |
| PIRALU 30/35 | 30 mm | Embossed | 4000 × 1200 × 30 mm, packets of 8 |
A fibre-free, high-performance rigid thermoset PIR insulation core, faced both sides with embossed aluminium foil lacquered with a corrosion-resistant polymer varnish. For internal use.
PalDuct panels are suitable for constructing air distribution ducts in air-conditioning and heating systems. Like PIRALU, the aluminium facing gives vapour barrier capability, and the closed cell structure prevents water absorption.
The practical difference between the two is the specification: PalDuct is a single 20 mm panel with a slightly lower declared thermal conductivity, PIRALU offers two thicknesses with an antimicrobial surface treatment and the SGBC and Class 0 certification set.
| Panel | Thickness | Aluminium | Standard packing |
|---|---|---|---|
| PALDUCT | 20 mm | Embossed with logo | 4000 × 1200 × 20 mm, packets of 7 |
The same accessory set covers both panel systems, so a site is not carrying two inventories.
